As the Partnerships Associate at Service Year Alliance, Mayo works to build and maintain relationships that help existing programs scale and new programs begin. As a service year alumna, she is grateful that through her role, she has the opportunity to carry forward her commitment to service. She previously served as the Program Coordinator for the Franklin Project at the Aspen Institute where she was responsible for providing logistical support for closed-roomed meetings, roundtables, convenings, composing grant reports and memos, and updating and editing website content. She earned her undergraduate degree in Political Science and concentration in Urban Studies from Macalester College in 2013. Upon graduating, she served as an AmeriCorps member with Public Allies, Washington D.C. As a component of Public Allies, she completed an apprenticeship with the YMCA Youth and Family Services Branch, where she was a Program Associate with Linkages to Learning and was responsible for coordinating after-school homework tutoring clubs at two elementary schools and helping provide a supportive environment for families that sought Linkages’ services.
