Cali Moore works to increase the value proposition of serving and to build a network of knowledge-sharing as the Associate, Learning. Prior to joining Service Year Alliance, she served as the 2015 Eli J. Segal Fellow at the Corporation for National and Community Service, where she spent a year working on special projects to support the agency’s many initiatives and programs.
Cali was born and raised in Vermont and starting volunteering at a young age. Her community service background led her to Ohio Wesleyan University, where she graduated in 2013 with majors in Sociology and Politics & Government. After graduating, she worked as the Post-Graduate Intern for Community Service Learning where she matched college students with community service opportunities and managed a tutoring program. She then moved to DC to serve as an AmeriCorps VISTA with Horton’s Kids, where she worked with the K-6 tutoring program and created cooking and gardening classes on the weekends to support food security and healthy habits. Cali loves life DC and tries to take advantage of all the events, museums, food trucks, and other perks of living in the city. She is addicted to coffee and attempts to copy recipes she sees on cooking shows
