Rachel Guyn is the Manager of Development for Service Year Alliance. In this role, she supports all of Service Year Alliance’s development efforts including fundraising from foundations, corporations and individuals. Prior to joining Service Year Alliance, Rachel served as NCoC’s Development Associate. Rachel brings with her years of diverse experience in customer service and business development having worked in event planning, higher education, hospitality and the healthcare industry prior to joining Service Year. She is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota and graduated from Queen's University in Kingston, ON with a Bachelor's in Global Development Studies and Business German.
Rachel has a passion for giving back to the community and has volunteered for several organizations, particularly those that work with children and the elderly. She is a travel enthusiast and finds she is most happy when immersed in a challenging and culturally diverse environment. In her free time, Rachel enjoys exploring the DC music scene, running, biking and swimming. She recently completed her first triathlon and plans to complete many more!
