Gary Coman pursues life as a passionate, problem solving technologist and adventurous player in the Internet of Things.
Gary leads the Learning Research and Development organization for Corporate Affairs, the Corporate Social Responsibility group for Cisco. Gary’s teams develop simulation software, assessment systems, and learning games, packaged in comprehensive learning experiences for Cisco Networking Academies and other programs. The team also works with Education Innovators to leverage new teaching and learning models centered on the domain of the Internet of Things.
Over a 22 year career in the Information Technology industry, Gary has held various Executive, Technical, and Business Development positions with Cisco while living in Asia, Europe and North America. Prior to joining Cisco he managed Systems Engineering for GeoTel Communications, served as Director of Telecommunications for PCServiceSource, and as a Systems Analyst for Fidelity Investments.
Gary holds advanced degrees in Finance and Computer Science from the University of Central Florida.
